What You Will Get To Do

  • Work within a team of schedulers coordinating work orders and customer appointments across the Gas Team.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational staff, managing appointments and scheduling queries.
  • Raise, appoint and manage work orders to ensure jobs are completed efficiently using scheduling systems.
  • Monitor and maintain diaries for gas servicing, repairs and remedial works using dynamic resource scheduling tools.
  • Optimise daily resources and reallocate work to maximise efficiency and meet performance targets.
  • Liaise with site managers to support productivity and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitor job completion times and resolve issues such as missed appointments or job‑related problems.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and system administrators to maintain compliance and system effectiveness.
  • Respond dynamically to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Support continuous improvement and personal development activities.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out safely and responsibly and in line with service requirements.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience of scheduling appointments and working with office IT systems (e.g. MS Office, work order or scheduling systems such as DRS).
  • Knowledge of gas compliance requirements and ability to apply this in scheduling environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem‑solve, make decisions quickly and respond to changing priorities.
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team while using initiative when required.
  • Relevant qualifications (5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent) or demonstrable experience, with a willingness to learn and develop.
