We have an exciting opportunity to join our brilliant team whose ambition is to deliver on the promises we make to our customers. The role is central to the delivery of the Council's ambitions to make Gateshead a place where everyone can thrive.
You will deal with commercial contracts and negotiations across a wide range of the Council's functions, including large projects such as housing and commercial developments. You will also advise on contracts associated with commissioning services across the Council and work closely with the procurement team to ensure that public procurement rules are complied with. You will provide advice on grant funding agreements, subsidy control, IT contracts, construction contracts and be involved in advising Council colleagues at all levels of seniority. You will work co-operatively in a team of lawyers and use your knowledge and skills to identify issues and provide solutions to your client.
