Eslington is a thriving primary school situated on two separate school sites in the Bensham /Teams area of Gateshead. Eslington is a specialist school that meets the needs of primarily Gateshead pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who have a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

Our Governors are seeking to appoint an Administration Officer to work as part of a team with both our School Business Manager, Administration Assistant and Site Manager in providing high‑quality administrative leadership and operational support to the school, ensuring efficient organisation of administrative systems and day‑to‑day office duties; GDPR lead and responsibility for handling information securely, confidentially, and in compliance with legislation and school policies; effective use of IT and MIS systems; coordination of supply arrangements; submit bids for income generation; arrange staff / governor CPD, maintaining confidentiality at all times; and support the facilities management function.

have excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail

have experience of working within a busy office / school office environment.

have experience of Microsoft Office, MIS and IT systems and digital platforms, with a willingness to undertake relevant training as required.

able to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines

able to use own initiative and take action accordingly

able to build effective working relationships with colleagues

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
