We’re looking for a highly organised and customer‑focused Health and Safety Administrator to join our team on a fixed term or secondment basis. This role supports the Health and Safety function and employer vetting service, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective working environments across the College and with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for health and safety queries, delivering excellent customer service
- Coordinate diaries, appointments and meetings for the Health and Safety team
- Manage and maintain internal systems (including CRM) and ensure records are accurate and up to date
- Support employer vetting processes to ensure work placements run smoothly and compliantly
- Organise and support meetings, forums and committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and tracking actions
- Coordinate health surveillance programmes, liaising with staff, managers and external providers
- Collect, collate and analyse data to produce regular performance and compliance reports
- Support the management of first aid and fire warden provision, including training and records
- Assist in managing GDPR‑related processes and documentation
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence using IT systems and working with data
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Proactive approach and ability to use initiative
- Experience of administrative work, ideally in a customer‑focused setting
- Understanding of health and safety processes would be beneficial, but not essential
