Are you an experienced Electrical Installation professional who is ready for a fresh challenge? Do you want to inspire the next generation of electricians and pass on the skills, standards, and confidence needed to succeed in industry? Gateshead College is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Installation Teacher to join our growing Construction Department.

We are looking for someone who can bring real industry experience into the classroom and workshop. Ideally, you will have one or more of the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a qualified Electrician
  • A strong commitment to safe working practices, quality workmanship, and supporting learners to achieve their potential
  • Relevant Electrical L3 qualification
  • The ability to communicate clearly, motivate others, and bring practical electrical knowledge to life
  • An understanding of Electrical Installation qualifications, including 2365 and 5357

You do not need to have taught before. What matters most is that you are passionate about your trade, proud of high standards, and motivated by helping students and apprentices build the confidence, skills, and ambition to progress into employment, apprenticeships, or higher-level study.
