Location: Baltic Campus. Contract: Fixed Term until 8 January 2027, 25.9 hours per week, up to 27 casual hours per week, subject to change. Salary: Casual rate £25.47 per hour. Annual salary £18,809 – £20,904 depending on hours.
We are looking for proactive, inspiring, and caring learning facilitators to support students across Music, Performance, Art and Design departments at the Baltic Campus.
Responsibilities- Provide pastoral, learning and general support to learners.
- Liaise closely with teachers to track and monitor student progress.
- Deliver group and one-to-one support sessions.
- Facilitate tutorials covering topics such as resilience, knife crime, and county lines.
- Support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement, and success.
- Negotiate placements with employers for business students and visit learners on site to monitor attendance.
- Strong industry background and work ethic; passion for developing future workforce.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or teaching young people (preferred).
- Teaching or assessing qualification is an advantage; willingness to work towards it is encouraged.
- Excellent communication, digital, organising, and planning skills.
