Job overview

Join our dynamic Estates & Facilities Team and help keep Gateshead College running at its best. We’re looking for an organised Facilities Contracts Administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys variety in their day.

The role

You’ll be the first point of contact for the Facilities Team, supporting daily operations across all College sites. From managing helpdesk activity and supplier documentation to coordinating space surveys, transport bookings, BMS monitoring and general admin support, you’ll play a key part in keeping our estate safe, efficient and welcoming.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in Facilities or a similar customer ‑ focused administration role
  • Strong organisation, communication and admin skills
  • Confidence using MS Office and digital systems
  • A positive, proactive, team ‑ focused approach
  • Level 2 literacy/numeracy and IT skills (or working towards)

It would be even better if you had

  • FM or H&S qualifications, NVQ Level 3/4, First Aid, or experience with Building Management Systems.
