Are you an experienced professional from sport, fitness, health and wellbeing, the Armed Forces, emergency services or another public service sector? Do you want to inspire the next generation and help learners develop the skills, confidence and professionalism needed for successful careers? Gateshead College is looking for a Teacher in Sport and Uniformed Public Services to join our ambitious and growing department. You will deliver engaging learning experiences that prepare learners for higher education, apprenticeships and employment across the sport and public service sectors. Working alongside a passionate team, you'll support students to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
You should have:
- Industry experience in sport, fitness, health and wellbeing, uniformed public services or a related field.
- A Level 3 qualification or above.
- Experience of teaching, training, coaching, instructing or developing others.
- The ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- A commitment to inclusion, high standards and learner success.
Teaching experience is desirable but not essential. If you have valuable industry experience and a passion for developing others, we'll support you to become an outstanding teacher.
