Who we're looking for:
We're looking for a Plumbing teacher to join our Construction department, bringing strong trade knowledge and practical site experience to support learners developing the core skills expected at Level 1 and Level 2. You’ll deliver engaging, hands‑on teaching that builds learners’ confidence in key plumbing principles, safe working practices, pipework installation, maintenance, fault‑finding and preparation for employment or further study.
In this role, you’ll work with 16–18-year-old learners and adults, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress in the plumbing and building services industry. You’ll bring lessons to life through practical workshop activity, clear demonstrations, industry examples and supportive coaching that helps learners understand professional standards and expectations.
What we're looking for:
- A strong background in general plumbing, including domestic plumbing systems, pipework, cold and hot water systems, sanitation, drainage principles and safe working practices.
- The knowledge and confidence to teach Level 1 and Level 2 learners through practical demonstrations, workshop-based activities and clear explanations of industry standards.
- Experience of supporting learners to develop employability skills, professional behaviours, pride in their work and the confidence to progress into apprenticeships, employment or further training.
- A passion for education, strong communication skills and a teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one with our support.
