Our healthcare department is looking for an inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teacher. This exciting opportunity is on a casual basis for maternity cover. This role involves preparation, delivery and assessment on our Level 3 Health and Social Care Study Programmes.
We’re on the lookout for an individual with excellent planning and organisational skills, who will prepare high quality lesson documentation and teaching resources and who is enthusiastic about sharing good practice. You would be required to work as part of the Access course team and support the curriculum leader to maintain learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success. You should have experience and knowledge of quality processes and procedures including internal moderation for the relevant awarding bodies.
You’ll be responsible for inducting, motivating, coaching and guiding your group of students through their learning journey; developing inspiring lesson plans, ensuring they’re on track, marking and assessing their work and holding regular reviews to help them progress.
We’d also like you to be as passionate as we are about delivering top quality teaching and nurturing students to build their confidence and skills to ensure that students thrive and achieve their very best to progress to university.
You should have excellent communication and ICT skills and be able to deliver a curriculum that is digital focused. You will be working independently as well as part of a team and must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
The successful applicant will have a related degree level/vocational qualification in the curriculum area and should have relevant vocational experience in the field of healthcare.
