Apprentice Vehicle Technician vacancy - Stevenage Preparation Centre
To work for the employer as an employee to serve the employer’s customers through servicing and repair of their vehicles. The apprentice shall also learn the trade and skills of a Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter for the maintenance of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Working on vehicle interiors, exteriors, engines and engine components.
- Examination of vehicle and machine systems.
- Periodic servicing of vehicle and machines.
- Replacement and replenishment of components and units.
- Identification and repair of faults in vehicles, machine components and systems.
- Implementation of diagnostic tests.
- Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information.
- Correct use of tools and equipment.
- Maintain personal, public and workplace cleanliness to protect against all hazards to themselves and all others.
- To maintain and develop relations with customers and clients.
- Work with learning provider to ensure training levels are achieved, this will also involve remote learning.
- To work within the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Any other work as required by Management, which is commensurate with the responsibilities of the post.
- Feedback from skills coach, college and Technician.
- Timely and accurate completion of all training and college work.
- General housekeeping and Health & Safety compliance.
- Compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- GCSE grade 4 Maths and English.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
