What To Expect

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager. They will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimising manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, quality enhancement, and the successful introduction of new processes and equipment into production.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Identification, planning, implementation and documentation of new processes and equipment
  • Driving and implementation of Continuous improvement culture for manufacturing facility / business
  • Ensuring all processes are maintained and kept to all current safety standards
  • Driving improvements to manual and/or machine based processes
  • Developing and maintaining measures of equipment and process performance
  • Supporting training in new processes and equipment
  • Project managing new equipment or new process implementation
  • Produce, monitor and justify CAPEX requests
  • Design of small to medium items of equipment, production aids and tools
  • Identifying & Implementing improvements to plant, equipment and buildings to relevant standards and requirements
  • Identification, selection and development of new suppliers/ contractors for associated activities

Requirements And Preferred Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in a process engineering, manufacturing, or production engineering environment (ideally within continuous or high-volume manufacturing)
  • Typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts e.g. HNC in a relevant Engineering subject
  • A greenbelt qualification in 6 Sigma, or equivalent Continuous improvement qualification
