The Warehouse Coordinator / Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the warehouse supporting a timing belt manufacturing plant. The role ensures uninterrupted material flow to production and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of finished goods. The position acts as the SAP EWM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse execution processes, ensuring correct system usage, inventory accuracy, and alignment between physical operations and SAP EWM data.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise end‑to‑end warehouse operations (inbound, internal movements, production supply, picking, packing, and dispatch) using SAP EWM.
- Ensure accurate control of raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods, maintaining high inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Enforce FIFO/FEFO strategies, batch management, shelf life control, and compliance with traceability requirements in SAP EWM.
- Act as SAP EWM Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning correct execution of warehouse processes, transactions, RF usage, and system discipline.
- Oversee physical inventories and cycle counting, resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis, and ensure timely SAP confirmations.
- Provide first‑line support for SAP EWM issues, support master data accuracy, and collaborate with IT and central SAP teams on enhancements and audits.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse leaders and operators on EWM processes, standard work instructions, and best practices.
- Ensure timely and reliable material supply to production in line with manufacturing schedules and outbound delivery commitments.
- Promote a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to HSE standards, audit requirements, and 5S principles.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse layout, material flow, labour efficiency, stock accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.

- Ensure adequate training and certification in SAP EWM, materials handling equipment (MHE), quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Drive accountability for system accuracy, task confirmations, and standard operating procedures.
- Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches associates to meet deadlines.
- Has performance management and people development responsibility for associates under their care.
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- 2-4 years proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role within a manufacturing environment.
- Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
- Demonstrated experience managing team leaders and blue‑collar workforces.
- Hands‑on operational experience with SAP EWM, including inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes.
- Experience acting as a local SAP EWM SME or super user, supporting training, troubleshooting, and process adherence.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, batch control, and production material supply.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety and materials handling requirements.
- Strong operational leadership and coaching capability.
- High data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident SAP ELM user with the ability to train others.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Clear communicator across shop floor, management, and IT.
- Hands on, structured, and continuous improvement focused.
Desirable
- Experience in automotive, rubber, polymer, or timing belt manufacturing environments.

- RF transaction experience and basic understanding of EWM resource and queue management.
