As an innovation leader, we are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individual to join our local Engineering team. Working full-time in our Dumfries facility, you will be a competent, qualified and experienced individual who can work as part of a team as well as making individual decisions to support ongoing operational demands within the facility. We are open to applications from either those experienced in a manufacturing or industrial environment or from domestic electricians who are keen to develop their skills β full training will be provided to support the transition into a plant-based role.

Key Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repair on plant machinery and production equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Supporting breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Assisting with installation and improvement projects
Keys to Success
- Qualified electrician (Educated to City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) or equivalent and be a time-served electrician.)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred but not essential)
- A working, basic understanding of ventilation, pneumatic, hydraulic and steam service systems would be an advantage but full training will be provided
- Experience in a domestic or commercial setting considered
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a manufacturing environment to learn new technologies and undergo training
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Effective team player with good communication skills
- Reliable and self-motivated, capable of working independently on shifts
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Mentor apprentices, providing training and guidance
- Demonstrate best practices and ensure logbook items are covered
- Support project and task-based work, occasionally guiding others
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- Educated to City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) or equivalent and be a time-served electrician.
- Trained to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is advantageous.
- Ideally will have held a similar role within an Industrial Environment post qualification.
- Have a working basic understanding of ventilation, pneumatic, hydraulic and steam service systems.
