Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineer specifies, plans and delivers the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment to improve performance, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, statutory and Corporate HSE requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
- Work on small projects or portions of larger projects.
- Perform moderate design tasks.
- Prepare portions of project documents.
- Edit specifications.
- Perform research and investigations.
- Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.

- Assist with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.

- Typically requires a college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, or at least 2‑4 years experience in a similar engineering position, that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
- Demonstrated effective supervision, knowledge of steam plant, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment, including equipment design, maintenance and repair.
- Ability to demonstrate supplier negotiations and budgetary control experience and development and monitoring of specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish work.
