What to Expect
We are offering a 6-year apprenticeship in either Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance which is inclusive of further education to HNC/HND level in the relevant discipline. We also offer competitive Apprenticeship rates as well as the opportunity to join a fast-moving, highly technological industry where the opportunities available are dependent on the commitment and enthusiasm of the individuals.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Apply technical knowledge from HNC/HND studies to practical work on the plant floor.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines at all times.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and learn new technologies.
- Demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout the 6-year apprenticeship.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
- Achieved or working towards 4 National 5’s or equivalent A - C grades, 2 of which should be STEM subjects, and a minimum of 3 Highers, 1 of which should be a STEM subject. Alternatively, those currently studying or have gained HNC level in either an Electrical or Mechanical bias will also be considered.
- 0-1 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
- Genuine interest in mechanical/electrical systems and new technologies.
- Commitment to completing a 6-year programme combining work and study.
- Logical, methodical approach to fault-finding and problem solving.
- Good practical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on.
- Strong safety awareness and professionalism.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
