The Mechanical Engineer specifies, plans and delivers the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment to improve performance, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, statutory and Corporate HSE requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
  • Works on small projects or portions of larger projects.
  • Performs moderate design tasks.
  • Prepares portions of project documents.
  • Edits specifications.
  • Performs research and investigations.
  • Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.

  • Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
  • Typically requires a college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, or have at least 2-4 years experience in a similar engineering position, that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts.
  • Demonstration of effective supervision, knowledge of steam plant, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment, including equipment design, maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to demonstrate supplier negotiations and budgetary control experience and development and monitoring of specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish work.
