We are currently supporting an NHS Trust with the appointment of a Senior HR Business Partner to join their People Directorate at a critical and exciting time for the organisation. This is a senior, strategic HR Business Partner role, working closely with Clinical and Operational Leaders/Teams across aligned Divisions within Elective Care.
The successful candidate will be a credible, experienced NHS HR professional with the ability to operate at pace, balancing strategic workforce planning and transformation with practical, visible support from the People Function. The role requires a strong understanding of NHS processes and procedures, excellent stakeholder management skills, an innovative approach to problem solving around workforce challenges and the ability to deliver in pressured environments.
The role will also include:
- Partner with senior clinical and operational leaders
- Lead on workforce strategy, resourcing and change initiatives
- Support divisions through transformation and service redesign
- Line‑manage senior HR colleagues and support their development
- Contribute to organisation‑wide people priorities and assurance
The Trust is seeking an individual who has:
- Significant NHS HR experience at senior/business partner level
- A CIPD qualification or equivalent demonstratable experience
- Strong strategic capability, able to advise divisions on proactive workforce planning
- Sound employee relations experience, able to advise on a range of ER cases
Terms: The role sits at Band 8a – salary £57-64750. On site presence is required, with working from home 2 days per week. Permanent/Interim – the post is ideally permanent, but a candidate interested in an interim role could also be considered to take up a fixed term contract. Full/Part time - the role is full time, but a 4 day a week contract or a compressed working week or fortnight, could be considered. Flexible working in terms of hours is an option.
