Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority

Salary: £86,404 - £94,830 per annum with the starting salary depending on your qualifications and experience.

Bannau Brycheiniog is a living landscape that supports wildlife, culture, and communities, playing a vital role in the environmental, social, and cultural life of Wales. We are looking for a special person to lead the Authority and ensure that our National Park remains a special place for future generations.

We seek a leader who cares deeply about this place and can help turn our aspirations into real positive change for the landscape and the people who live, work, and spend time here. This is an exciting moment for the Authority, but it is also a challenging one, and creative and thoughtful leadership will be essential.

We are looking for an inspiring, creative, and energetic individual to lead our team as we deliver our ambitious plans for Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and for everyone who lives, works, and visits the Park.

To achieve our aspirations, we need to work closely in partnership with many others who live, work, visit, and care for the National Park. This means you will need to be a compelling communicator, able to bring people together around a shared vision and build great coalitions of interest.

You will also need to do this under challenging financial conditions, so the ability to manage resources effectively, ensure maximum impact, and be creative about new ways of funding and delivery will be essential.

Change is going to be a feature of your time in the role, both internally and externally, so you will need to be able to bring people with you and ensure that the benefits of change are understood and realised.

Above all, you will care about this place and its people and be ready to listen and learn, valuing the importance of its culture and heritage.

If our mission and values resonate with you, we encourage you to download the candidate pack.
