St Luke's Hospice Plymouth is seeking an exceptional leader to become its next Chief Executive Officer.

For more than 40 years, St Luke's has provided compassionate, specialist end of life care to people across Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall, supporting over 1,500 patients and their families each year.

With a strong reputation for excellence and deep community support, the hospice plays a vital role in the lives of those it serves.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a highly respected charity at a pivotal moment in its journey.

As St Luke's embarks on its ambitious Future Hospice programme, the new Chief Executive will help shape the future of hospice care across the region, ensuring the organisation remains innovative, financially sustainable and responsive to changing community needs.

The role offers both the privilege and responsibility of leading an organisation that is known, trusted and valued across the communities it serves.

Every day, St Luke's witnesses the extraordinary generosity of its supporters and the profound difference hospice care makes to patients and families.

As Chief Executive, you will act as a trusted steward of that goodwill, ensuring it is translated into exceptional care for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

Reporting to the Chair and Board of Trustees, you will provide visible and inspiring leadership across the organisation, driving strategic delivery, strengthening partnerships and acting as a passionate ambassador for St Luke's locally, regionally and nationally.

You will lead a talented, committed and resilient team while ensuring patients, families, staff and volunteers remain at the heart of every decision.

We are looking for a values-led leader with significant senior executive experience, a strong track record of organisational leadership and change, and the ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will combine strategic vision with empathy, resilience and commercial awareness, bringing the leadership required to guide a vital and complex organisation through its next chapter.

For an accomplished leader seeking a role with genuine purpose, visibility and impact, this is an outstanding opportunity to lead one of the South West's most respected charities and help secure the future of end-of-life care for generations to come
