HM Land Registry exists to protect and guarantee ownership of land and property in England and Wales. Our work underpins one of the country's most important markets, supporting homebuyers, businesses, lenders and government every day. We are currently delivering a significant programme of modernisation, improving the services we provide, making better use of data and technology, and ensuring we continue to meet the needs of the public, our customers and the wider economy.

As Director of Finance and Business Services, you will join the Executive Team and Board at a critical point in our development. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead a broad portfolio that includes Finance, Commercial, Strategic Planning and Performance, Governance, Analytical Services, Internal Audit, and Property and Facilities Management. You will help shape organisational strategy, provide trusted advice on investment and resource decisions, and ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable while delivering an ambitious programme of change. The role also involves working closely with HM Treasury, sponsoring departments and other key stakeholders across government.

We are looking for a credible and experienced executive leader who combines strong financial and commercial expertise with the ability to lead people and organisations through change. You will have operated successfully at Board level, bringing sound judgement, confidence and the ability to influence complex decisions. Just as important, you will be someone who can build strong relationships, develop high-performing teams and create an environment where people can do their best work. Experience of leading large corporate functions within a complex organisation, coupled with a genuine commitment to public service and continuous improvement, will be essential.
