Overview

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of community, mental health, and learning disability services for people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We have over 13,000 staff who work from over 500 sites across the region, serving a population of around 2 million people with care available for every stage of their lives. We are a University Hospital Trust with a strong focus on research, as well as training and educating our future workforce.

Our aim is to work alongside the people we support, together with our health and care partners, to provide outstanding care that helps people live their best and healthiest lives. We were created in October 2024 by merging a range of providers and services from across the region. We have now co-produced our CARE values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, and are in the process of producing our first organisational strategy.

We are now looking for two dedicated and passionate leaders to join our board as Non-Executive Directors. For one of the posts, we are looking for a finance professional from the private sector, with board level experience gained in commercial organisations of significant scale and complexity, and who ideally also has experience across estates, property, digital and IT portfolios. For the second post, we are looking for an individual from either a public health, voluntary sector, or a local authority background, with strong experience of partnerships working across organisational boundaries, to help the Trust focus on partnerships, communities, social justice and health inequalities.

If you feel this could be you, and you feel that our CARE values align with your own, we would love to hear from you.

Preference will be given to candidates that live within or have a strong connection to the area the Trust serves.
