We are currently working with our client, a healthcare organisation based in the East of England, who are looking for a new Interim Chief Medical Officer. This role is looking to start ASAP and will be for circa 4-6 months. The Interim Chief Medical Officer job will ideally be performed on a 4-day week basis. Regarding remuneration, this role falls inside IR35 and is band VSM, via a Fixed Term Contract. In addition, the successful candidate will need to have some weekly on-site presence.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role encompasses the following core duties:
- Providing strategic medical leadership and clinical guidance to the Board
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of clinical quality, workforce capability, and governance
- Building strong and collaborative relationships with relevant ICBs, professional bodies, and regulators
Candidate Profile: The organisation is seeking someone with a GP or Emergency Medicine background, and with strong experience on the provider side rather than commissioning.
