Position: Financial Ombudsman Service seeks two Non‑Executive Directors to join the Board.
Purpose & Responsibilities
To provide senior governance and oversight, support strategic direction, and challenge Board decisions to achieve the organisation’s core purpose of delivering efficient, impartial dispute resolution.
- One director will focus on AI and technology, offering strategic insight into emerging technologies, automation, data‑driven tools, and how these can improve customer journeys and accelerate organisational transformation.
- The other director will bring broad financial services and commercial expertise, ensuring the organisation remains resilient, responsive and financially sustainable, with a deep understanding of markets, regulation and customer trends.
Qualifications & Experience
- Board‑level or executive experience in complex, highly regulated environments.
- Strategic thinking, performance scrutiny and strong governance capabilities.
- For the AI/technology director: demonstrated expertise with AI, automation and data‑driven solutions.
- For the commercial director: proven record of financial services market knowledge, regulatory compliance and commercial leadership.
