Help shape better lives for older people. Housing 21 is a national organisation with a simple purpose: helping older people live well, with independence and dignity. What we do every day genuinely changes lives. We are now looking for Board Members who want to bring their experience, insight and curiosity to an organisation that is already good and always striving to be better.
We welcome applications from people who are passionate about older persons' services and who believe in the power of good housing and support to transform lives. What matters most to us is sound judgement, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to ask thoughtful, constructive questions.
We are particularly interested in individuals who bring strength in one or more of the following areas, whether gained through executive, non-executive or senior leadership roles:
- Housing - understanding regulation, operations, asset management or customer experience
- Finance - financial stewardship, risk, audit, investment or funding in complex organisations
- Systems and digital - technology, data, cyber, or large-scale systems transformation
- People and strategic HR - workforce, culture, leadership, change and organisational effectiveness
Housing 21 is a large, complex and commercially aware organisation, playing an important role in shaping national thinking and influencing social policy around ageing and housing. Experience of the housing sector or prior board roles is welcome but not essential; we are equally interested in people who can bring fresh perspectives, relevant expertise and a strong sense of purpose.
If you are motivated by making a difference, enjoy constructive challenge, and want to develop your board-level contribution while supporting an organisation that truly matters, we would love to hear from you.
