Our client is seeking an experienced Governance Advisor. The role will be offered as a 12-month fixed term contract and is to start as soon as possible.
This is a hands-on role for a legal/governance professional who can update governance frameworks and documentation, and who can work collaboratively across the organisation to embed best practice.
Key responsibilities will include reviewing and refreshing governance policies, terms of reference, delegations, and associated documentation, while engaging with stakeholders at all levels to identify opportunities to strengthen governance processes, decision-making, and accountability.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Significant governance experience gained within a complex organisation, membership body, regulator, charity, or similar environment
- A proven track record of reviewing and updating governance frameworks and documentation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- The ability to identify practical governance improvements and drive their implementation
