Tandridge District Council is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Resources to lead our financial strategy and fulfil the statutory duties of the Section 151 Officer. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the final chapter of a well-respected authority and leave a legacy of financial resilience, service excellence and community trust ahead of Local Government Reorganisation. The role can be tailored to include a broader portfolio of services such as Procurement, Revenues and Benefits, Asset Management, HR, Digital and Customer Services, and more depending on your experience and interests.

About you
We are looking for a qualified finance professional (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant senior leadership experience, ideally within local government. You will bring:
- A strong track record of financial stewardship and transformation.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to lead through complexity and change.
- A commitment to public service values and community impact.
You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and work well with other teams. Collaborative and personable, you are good at building positive working relationships and influencing at all levels of the organisation.
