We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior HR professional to provide high-level operational and strategic HR expertise to a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), based in the West Midlands.
The interim position will primarily cover HR compliance, case management and process development, working closely with the Head of HR and People Partners.
Candidates must have experience within an Education setting, ideally at a MAT or other school environment.
Essential Expertise and Experience
- Significant HR Expertise: A proven track record as a senior HR professional, capable of working independently and advising at a strategic level.
- Education Sector Experience: Demonstrable experience working within an education setting, ideally a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) or school environment, understanding relevant legislation and educational regulations.
- Case Management Leadership: Extensive experience in leading and managing complex employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and long-term absence management.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage, or provide expert guidance on, complex employee relations casework, ensuring fair, timely and legally compliant outcomes.
- Providing support to ensure the Trust remains compliant with all legislation and educational regulations.
- Work with the People Directorate to translate existing policies into clear, practical operational processes and systems for staff and managers across the Trust.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and wider leadership team on all operational and compliance-related people matters.
- Provide support and advice related to organisational change and transformation initiatives.
