Role Overview:
As Interim Head of Immigration Compliance, you will lead and oversee the University’s compliance with Home Office rules for both international staff and students. You will take responsibility for the smooth operation of the immigration compliance framework. You will act as an ambassador for good practice, being connected to the FE and HE immigration landscape and working with departments to adopt best practices.
The ideal candidate:
This is an interim fixed-term contract for c. 9-12 months, the ideal candidate will be available to start mid-March and work a minimum of 2 days a week on-site in London.
- You will have significant experience in UKVI rules and providing immigration advice to students and staff in a higher education setting.
- Experience in leading institutional responses to UKVI audits.
- Experience in developing internal policies to support UKVI compliance.
- Experience in delivering training to students and staff on UKVI rules.
- Experience in managing and/or auditing student folders to ensure compliance with the Student route rules.
- Experience working with registry systems, e.g. SITS and/or SEAts
