Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Director to join this medium-sized charity for a period of up to 9 months. A vital part of the SLT, you will be accountable for ensuring the charity raises sufficient funding to remain financially viable and to grow in alignment with the charity's ambitions for its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed organisational-wide income generation and future growth strategy, ensuring that the charity has a highly effective fundraising portfolio.
- Create a forward-thinking, agile directorate that is at the forefront of fundraising, driving cost-effective returns. Leading and developing a high-performing, confident and motivated workforce.
- Develop a culture of innovation, based on evidence and underpinned by well-informed decision-making.
- Acting as a lead ambassador for the charity at external meetings, conferences and events.
Requirements
- Availability to start by the end of January 2025.
- Experience in leading a large and complex fundraising team at a medium-sized charity.
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising law, regulations, professional code of practice and best practice in the sector.
