We are supporting a healthcare organisation based in the South East of England with their search for an Interim Contract Manager. This role is expected to start as soon as possible and will run for approximately 6-months, ideally on a full-time basis. This Band 8a level position falls inside IR35, and the client prefers candidates to be available for a fixed-term contract. Some on-site presence will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the business with contract management and their portfolio of contracts
  • Leading on the delivery of specific contracts and/or specific portfolio and support end-to-end processes for clients
  • Ensuring the organisation’s standard processes are implemented and maintained
  • Interpreting national guidance and policies from the Department of Health and help identify how these should be translated into working practice
  • Leading contract negotiations for agreed portfolio of contracts
  • Supporting and enhancing the organisation’s relationships across the system
  • Helping to develop key stakeholder relationships
  • Supporting the organisation through a significant transformation and turnaround

Candidate Profile:

  • Notable experience of a similar contracts role within the NHS (this is very desirable)
  • Experience of using the NHS Standard Contract
  • A background/knowledge of healthcare commissioning, NHS National Tariff payment systems, and NHS infrastructure/governance
  • Experience of interpreting complex information and presenting a position
  • A proven success in stakeholder management
