We are a leading statutory professional regulator committed to upholding the standards of conduct, practice and competence of architects registered in the UK. Our role is critical in safeguarding the interests of the public while supporting the development of the profession of architects.
Our work has arguably never been more important as we respond to key challenges such as the climate crisis and the public policy demands of moving to Net Zero. We also have an important role to play in responding to the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.The landscape across we operate is consequently a dynamic one. Over and above this, a broad range of organisational risks must be managed as we increasingly pursue business growth and excellence.
You will join us at a key stage in our development then, as we seek to grow and mature as an organisation. Strong governance is critical to our ability to work efficiently and effectively in the public interest, and in recognition of this, we have recently reviewed our approach. One of the outcomes of the review is the establishment of a new Finance, Risk and Audit Committee which will play an important role in ensuring that as an organisation, we are able to anticipate and mitigate financial, operational and reputational risk.
We are seeking two Independent Committee Members to join the Committee. Financially astute and literate with a relevant current accounting qualification, your relevant experience may have been gained in either an executive or non-executive capacity. What is most important is your ability to make a strong contribution through familiarity with the governance and regulatory frameworks relevant to the ARB, enabling you to both support and constructively challenge us to add value and build on our already high standards.
Over and above your skills and experience, you will be a team player with shared values; interested in our work and invested in our future success and impact.
We are excited to welcome new talent to the ARB. If this sounds like the role for you, we look forward to hearing from you.
