Roles: 2 Trustees, and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee
Time Commitment: Approximately half a day per month
Remuneration: Unremunerated, reasonable expenses paid
Term of Appointment: Trustees are appointed for a period of 3 years and are expected to serve a maximum of 2 terms of office (totaling 6 years).

We are looking for 2 Trustees and an additional Trustee who will be Chair of our Audit and Risk Committee. Chair of Audit and Risk Committee: Norwich Theatre is seeking a dedicated and insightful individual to join our Board of Trustees and take on the vital role of Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. As a Trustee and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, you will:
- Provide strategic oversight of Norwich Theatre’s financial health, risk management, and internal controls.
- Lead the Audit and Risk Committee, working closely with fellow trustees, the Executive Team, and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with charity and company law and uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
- Act as a key ambassador for Norwich Theatre, championing our mission and values both internally and externally.
- Embrace and promote the Nolan Principles of public life and champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in all decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
- Senior-level experience in finance, audit, or risk management.
- A recognised financial qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent expertise.
- A strong understanding of charity governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience chairing or contributing to Audit and Risk Committees.
- Excellent judgement, communication skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
