The role involves joining a growing and successful Project team dedicated to providing excellent service. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Directors as part of the Senior Management Team to ensure business success in all aspects, including quality of service, timely delivery, staff development, and profitability.
  • Attending Senior Management Meetings and taking responsibility for business management opportunities such as Business Development, HR, Quality Management, Training and Education, IT, and Professional Standards.
  • Setting targets for the team and managing them to deliver these targets.
  • Acting as Line Manager for all personnel within the Associate Team, motivating team members to deliver their best service.
  • Helping team members identify strengths and weaknesses and develop plans to achieve personal career goals.
  • Managing allocated Key Client Accounts and ensuring client satisfaction with Gateley Vinden services.
  • Leading construction projects and managing a team of quantity surveyors, assistants, and apprentices.
  • Organising and managing resources within the team.
  • Reviewing the quality, efficiency, and timing of work within the team to meet practice requirements.
  • Acting as the principal point of contact with project clients and other consultants on the design team.
  • Working independently to ensure successful delivery of QS/PM services on all projects.
  • Training and assisting others, including preparing and presenting in-house CPD events.
  • Seeking new project opportunities and promoting practice services at networking and marketing events.
  • Acting as Employer’s Agent on Design and Build projects.
  • Following the company Quality Management System in service delivery.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and developing time management strategies.
  • Providing exceptional service to all clients.

  • Experience managing a team and in business development, marketing, and networking.
  • Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software.
  • Experience in running large, complex projects independently.
