The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join our thriving, national Construction team based in the Midlands at our Birmingham or Nottingham offices. This role ideally suits a construction solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience, who will work alongside our experienced partners on a broad range of primarily contentious matters, with the opportunity to be involved in non-contentious projects.
The successful candidate will be keen to develop their skills within a leading national team, interacting effectively with colleagues and clients at every level and actively engaging in business development. Full advantage of the on‑going comprehensive training will be available.
The person
This opportunity is open to a solicitor with at least 4 years’ PQE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the law and a solid foundation in construction work, primarily experienced in contentious / disputes matters. We will also consider candidates experienced in contentious transactions or with a broad construction background who also practice in other areas.
Candidates Will Also Have The Following
- At least 4 years’ PQE level construction experience, at least partially advising on contentious / disputes construction matters.
- Solid understanding of fundamental construction law.
- Ambition to build and grow a network of clients within professional services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues.
- A strong teamwork ethic and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Drive, commitment, self‑motivation and a “can do” attitude.
- The ability to exercise discretion and professionalism at all times.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
