We are seeking a Capital Allowances Consultant to join our London team. This role is ideal for someone with around five years of experience in capital allowances or a related field, who is either working towards or recently qualified with RICS or an accounting designation (ATT, ACA, CTA). You will support the delivery of claims, contribute to client engagements, and continue developing your technical and commercial skills.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in preparing capital allowances claims for a range of property types.
- Analyse construction cost data, property documentation, and financial records.
- Draft technical reports for submission to HMRC.
- Support client communications and attend meetings as required.
- Collaborate with senior consultants and contribute to team projects.
- Stay informed on relevant legislation and guidance.
The person candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Degree in surveying, accountancy, tax, law, engineering, or a property-related field.
- Working towards or recently achieved RICS or accounting qualification.
- Around 4-8 years’ experience in capital allowances or a related discipline.
- Exposure to commercial property transactions or construction projects.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in a consultancy or professional services environment.
