About the Role

You will join Gateley Legal’s Commercial Real Estate team as a Solicitor, supporting partners on a varied high‑quality workload. You will be involved in the full life cycle of commercial property matters: acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant work, real estate finance, and asset management. You will work on early‑stage due diligence, drafting, reviewing documents, coordinating completions, and liaising with clients and third parties. Larger, complex transactions include development projects, offices, retail and industrial sites, and portfolio work for investors, developers, occupiers, and banks. You will be exposed to multi‑million‑pound deals and nationally significant clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support partners on commercial property matters from due diligence to completion.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to acquisitions, disposals, finance, and leasing.
  • Coordinate completions and collaborate with clients and third parties.
  • Assist with larger, complex development and portfolio transactions.
  • Provide clear, concise advice and support client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, junior level (NQ up to 2‑year PQE).
  • Strong interest in commercial property and its business context.
  • Detail‑oriented, able to meet deadlines across multiple matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback and develop technical and commercial skills.
  • Team‑player who values straight‑talking, practical solutions.
