Gateley Legal, a leading national corporate law firm, is seeking an experienced Equity Capital Markets Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 PQE to join the growing Equity Capital Markets team based in London or Birmingham (hybrid working).
Reporting to senior partners Paul Cliff and Sam Meiklejohn, you will handle a high‑value, diverse portfolio of equity capital markets, public M&A and corporate governance work across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, life sciences, construction, retail, technology, healthcare, financial services, real estate, recruitment, training and education. Cross‑border experience (transatlantic and pan‑European) will be highly valuable.

Manage the full lifecycle of equity capital markets transactions, taking ownership of matters and working closely with partners on complex, high‑value work. Build and nurture client relationships and support business development initiatives within the ECM and wider corporate practice.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ PQE with extensive experience in equity capital markets and public M&A.
- Demonstrated high‑quality technical legal skills and the confidence to provide commercial, well‑reasoned advice.
- Experience in managing transactions, mentoring junior team members, and engaging in new business development.
- Strong commercial acumen, good negotiation skills, personable, enthusiastic and driven to succeed in a collaborative environment.
