About The Role
This role involves advising on and delivering site set‑up work for a range of residential development projects, including both freehold and leasehold schemes. The successful candidate will support major new build developments for housebuilder clients and work on a variety of complex transactions, including consortium sites, mixed‑use development and schemes with differing management structures. The position includes negotiating and completing infrastructure agreements, providing practical and commercial legal advice throughout the development lifecycle, and working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure transactions progress efficiently. You will also attend site visits with clients, gaining first‑hand insight into developments and helping to build strong, long‑term relationships. This role offers significant responsibility and autonomy, requiring effective management of caseloads, priorities and administrative tasks while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service.
Team
The team has a national presence through the Birmingham, Guildford, London and Leeds offices. We act for all top ten housebuilders and eighteen of the top twenty house builders. The work we carry out comprises three key elements: land acquisition work, set‑up work and plot sales. Supervision is always available, and members can seek advice and further their knowledge from others. We also work closely with the Planning, Construction and Tax teams.
