About The Role
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join our thriving, national Construction team based in the Midlands at our Birmingham or Nottingham offices. This role would ideally suit a construction solicitor with at least 4 years\’ post qualification experience, capable of working alongside our experienced construction partners on a broad range of predominantly contentious matters, with opportunities to be involved in non-contentious projects.
The successful candidate will be keen to develop their skills within a leading national team, interacting effectively with colleagues and clients at every level, and actively engaging in business development. The successful candidate will have access to ongoing comprehensive training.
The person
This opportunity is open to a solicitor with at least 4 years\’ PQE. The ideal candidate will have a passion for law and a solid foundation in construction work, primarily in contentious/disputes matters. We will also consider candidates with experience in contentious transactions or a broad construction background who also practice in other areas.
Candidates will also have:
- Ideally at least 4 years\’ PQE in construction, advising on contentious/disputes matters
- A solid understanding of fundamental construction law
- Ambition to build and grow a network of clients within professional services
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues
- A strong team work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Drive, commitment, self-motivation, and a positive attitude
- The ability to exercise discretion and professionalism at all times
- Exceptional attention to detail
