Senior Recruitment Advisor | Gateley Plc
The role is an Apprentice Administrative Assistant based in our Birmingham office. It offers hands-on experience in a professional services environment, working alongside our Pensions team to deliver administrative support and contribute to client service excellence. The role requires good time management, strong organisational skills and effective communication across levels of seniority. You will work towards achieving a Level 3 in Business Administration with our provider Damar.
Responsibilities
- Typing letters, legal advice, attendance notes, and legal documents, including from dictation
- Diary management: arranging appointments, travel, and schedules
- File management: opening/closing matters, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with the organisation of business development events
- Liaising with clients: taking messages and providing a professional, responsive service

About the Team
Our Pensions team is recognised for its technical expertise and practical approach, working with business lawyers and professionals across the firm. We advise trustees, employers, and pension scheme members, delivering clear, commercial advice and supporting our clients’ objectives. We aim to hire individuals with a can-do mentality to join the team.
Requirements
Applicants should have at least five GCSEs graded A*–C/9–4, or equivalent. No previous experience is necessary; full training and support will be provided.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in administration and a desire to learn and grow professionally
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and working with spreadsheets
