Gateley IP is looking to appoint a senior, qualified trade mark attorney to join our expanding London team. This opportunity follows a significant period of growth and investment, creating a strong platform to shape the next stage of our journey.

The team Gateley IP is formed of three established attorney practices, Adamson Jones, Groom Wilkes & Wright and Symbiosis IP, and is the dedicated patent and trade mark attorney group within Gateley, a leading professional services business. Gateley employs around 1,500 people at offices across the UK. Our attorneys have the opportunity to work closely with solicitors and other professional advisers operating in a wide range of areas including corporate transactions, commercial agreements and disputes.

Our clients include a range of small start‑ups and established private companies to large corporations, as well as overseas firms based across the world. Our work is for UK‑based and international clients across a wide range of commercial sectors and involves work across all areas of trade mark attorney practice including conducting clearance searches, drafting and filing trade mark applications throughout the world, managing watching services, advising clients about potential conflicts, handling oppositions and cancellation proceedings and associated settlement negotiations and providing strategic advice.

We have a strong support team including certified IP administrators who are client facing and support our trade mark attorneys to ensure casework is handled efficiently. We are seeking an experienced trade mark attorney, ideally with 10+ years’ post‑qualification experience, to take on a senior role within our growing Intellectual Property team. This is a key appointment for the practice. You will inherit a well‑established and high‑quality caseload, alongside playing a central role in the continued development of our trade mark offering. There is a clear opportunity to shape the direction of the practice, deepen client relationships and contribute to the wider growth of Gateley’s IP capability.

Working closely with colleagues across the Gateley group, you will help deliver a fully integrated, commercially focused service and identify opportunities to expand our client base through collaboration.
