About Gatehouse Bank Founded in 2007, Gatehouse Bank is a UK challenger bank built on Shariah principles. With offices in London, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Wilmslow, we provide ethical savings products and residential property finance, as well as expertise in UK real estate investment.
You'll be providing independent 2nd Line of Defence regulatory risk advisory services, oversight, and assurance across the Bank, and ensuring that effective compliance oversight is maintained and that the Bank and its colleagues continue to meet all regulatory obligations. You'll sit as part of our Compliance team, but also work closely with our Risk teams to form our 2LoD.
Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of the Bank’s compliance framework, monitoring activities, and regulatory approach, helping to ensure key risks are identified, managed, and reported effectively.
Providing Compliance SME support across projects and regulatory matters, including Conduct and Prudential topics, while contributing to policy updates, regulatory change initiatives, and horizon scanning activities.
Helping to promote a strong culture of compliance and regulatory awareness across the Bank, including supporting the Bank’s responsibilities under the Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
Carrying out and supporting compliance monitoring reviews, thematic assessments, and sample testing to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and good customer outcomes.
Identifying and escalating potential compliance or conduct risks, tracking remediation actions, and supporting the production of MI and reporting for senior management, committees, and regulators.
A strong regulatory risk awareness with the ability to identify issues requiring escalation and propose practical resolutions.
Sound knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks.
Experience providing 2nd Line of Defence compliance oversight, including advisory support and challenge to 1LOD.
