The role involves working closely with the Finance Manager, the Financial and Regulatory Reporting Manager, and the wider finance team. You will own and lead the delivery of financial control and reporting activities, with a focus on month-end reporting processes – applying specialist knowledge, judgement and compliance.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the preparation, review, and posting of accurate month-end journals.
- Lead on RPF-related activities, including reconciliations between UFSS and iMAL, making informed judgements on variances, and using your initiative to analyse movements within UFSS.
- Oversee RPF reporting for SPV02 and SPV03 books, ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of cash movements across loan portfolios.
- Support and enhance daily financial reporting to ensure outputs are accurate, insightful, and support effective decision-making.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and maintain the integrity of financial data across systems.
What we're looking for:
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial data, reconciliations and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Analytical approach, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and provide clear explanations.
- Some knowledge of financial ledger systems (e.g. iMAL or similar), with the ability to navigate and extract relevant financial data.
- An understanding of financial control processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal posting, and P&L analysis.
Please note - the position is office based with a Hybrid Working policy with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days a week.
