We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter to join our team. In this full-time on-site role, the Fitter will be responsible for installing balustrades, balconies, staircases, and other bespoke fabrications as per architectural specifications. Daily tasks include reading technical drawings, preparing materials, assembling components, and ensuring installations meet the required quality and safety standards. Collaboration with other team members and adherence to project deadlines will be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in planning, assembling and installing architectural metalwork, including balustrades, balconies, and staircases.
- Experience in procuring necessary lifting equipment / plant for each project.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
- Experience working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, toughened glass, and wood.
- Strong understanding of British and European safety regulations and standards.
- Physical fitness and capacity to work in various on-site conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and strong communication skills.
- Experience in welding and metal fabrication is a plus.
- A valid driving license and CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card are necessary.
- Extra skill cards would be advantageous (SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA); however, opportunity to be trained to gain qualifications are available.
Note: Scope of work will include working away when required (Hotels Provided).
