Join Gate Gourmet, the world's largest independent airline catering provider! We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to take charge of our Wash and Pack department. This is your chance to lead a dedicated team, drive operational excellence, and make a real impact in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Competitive Pay & Schedule:
- £14.45 per hour
- Shift flexibility between 7am - 3:30pm and 1:30pm - 10pm (Full flexibility required)
- Work-life balance with rotational days off
As Team Leader, you'll be the driving force behind our Wash and Pack operations, ensuring every product meets our exacting quality and safety standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 6-27 operators (fluctuating seasonally)
- Provide hands-on coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Oversee washing, sanitizing, and packing processes to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Implement and maintain SOPs to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to drive improvement and ensure safety compliance
- Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement teams to ensure adequate supplies
- Drive implementation of innovative solutions within the department
Qualifications:
- Foundation degree, HND, or degree in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse management, business management, or related field
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to build long-term relationships
- Talent for bringing diverse groups together to achieve shared objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proactive, positive, and flexible attitude

Shift Pattern:
This role operates on a 5 days out of 7 rotational pattern with flexible shift times:
- Shift 1: 7am - 3:30pm
- Shift 2: 1:30pm - 10pm
You must be fully flexible to work across both shift patterns as required by operational demands.
