Supply Chain Coordinator – Food & Beverage
Based in Kings Cross
Every First Class meal and every retail favourite served on an LNER train has a journey of its own before it reaches the trolley. This role makes sure that journey runs on time.
You'll be the link that keeps everything moving - the point where LNER's Customer Experience team, our suppliers, and GateGroup's Procurement, Compliance and Supply Chain teams all meet. When a new product is on its way, you'll be the one keeping specs, samples, packing plans and timelines in order so nothing slips. Once it's live, you'll watch how it performs, spot the trends, and feed the insight back to the people who need it.
It's a role for someone who likes being in the middle of things and making them work.
What you'll be doing
Guiding new products from concept to trolley - chasing supplier specs and technical data, keeping the tender calendar aligned, and getting samples where they need to be. You'll build packing plans and planograms with LNER, help shape demand and storage planning across the network, and make sure Service Centres are ready before anything launches.
Day to day, you'll keep a close eye on availability, waste and On Time In Full, prepare quality check sheets with Compliance, and handle the smooth introduction and de-listing of stock. And if a quality or safety issue ever crops up, you'll lead the fact-finding, pulling together the right information and, when needed, coordinating quarantine and recall alongside our Compliance Manager.
What you'll bring
- 2+ years in a food supply chain environment
- A graduate-level background (supply chain, maths, science, business, economics or similar) or equivalent experience
- Level 3 Food Safety and Allergen Training or the willingness to gain both within six months
- Confidence with Excel, Outlook and Word, plus some exposure to BI and ERP tools like D365
- A knack for building relationships and reading a situation quickly
- Sharp attention to detail and the calm to juggle shifting priorities
Forecasting or demand-planning experience is a nice-to-have, not a dealbreaker.

Hands-on and unfazed by change. A clear communicator who can talk to anyone, from a supplier to a senior stakeholder, and back up a point with data. Organised, self-driven, and happy working without someone looking over your shoulder.
