We are currently recruiting Loaders to join our team in Edinburgh.
In this role, you will support operations by completing all assigned tasks efficiently, maintaining high quality standards, and meeting required targets.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload food and equipment as directed, ensuring high standards and no customer complaints
- Ensure all loads are secured safely and signed for at collection points
- Comply with all Gate Gourmet and customer security procedures
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene requirements, including correct manual handling techniques
- Drive a van when required
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects using the appropriate procedures
- Take responsibility for company and customer property
- Report all accidents and take appropriate preventative action
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally, at all levels
- Maintain accurate records in the daily log and review it at the start of each shift
- Remain flexible and adaptable within the role
- Carry out quality checks and implement improvements where necessary
- Assist with follow-up actions from Quality Assurance and Health & Safety reports
- Perform any other duties as required
Education
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Work Experience
- A valid, clean UK driving licence is essential
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong reading and writing skills in English
- Good customer service skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong team player
Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
You must be willing to work shifts and be eager to learn.
Alongside job-related training, you will develop key skills such as teamwork, time management, multitasking, communication, and attention to detail.
Additional Information

You must also provide five years of verifiable employment history.
