As a Picker / Packer, you will support the operations by completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner while ensuring quality and meeting the required targets.
£14.00 per hour, Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all operating procedures to the best of your abilities.
- Ensure the work area is kept safe and clean.
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, health and safety.
- Report all accidents and take necessary preventative action.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
- Make relevant entries in the diary log and check it at the beginning of each shift.
- Be flexible within the role and unit departments.
- Carry out quality checks with improvement action when required.
- Assist in follow-up of Quality Assurance/Health & Safety reports.
- Take on any other duties as required.
Specific Duties by Department:
- Production: Pack food liners, conduct temperature and quality checks, seal flight canisters, ensure correct marshalling of flights.
- Bond: Receipt, handling and storage of incoming goods, sort and assemble bars into flights.
- Dishwash: General washing, sorting, assembling, packing and positioning of aircraft equipment.
- Stores: Load/off-load lorries, stack shelves, conduct quality checks, daily stock count.
Qualifications:
- Educated to High School level.
- Good standard of English both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of Basic Hygiene.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing/stores environment is ideal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good understanding of English.
- Positive attitude to work.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
