We are currently looking to recruit Loaders to join our team based in Braintree. You will support the operations by completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner while ensuring quality and meeting the required targets. You must be a great communicator with a can-do attitude.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To load and unload food and equipment as directed by the allocator, ensuring that no customer complaints are received.
- To ensure that loads are distributed securely, and to be responsible for any load carried, and ensure it is signed for at the point of collections.
- To fully comply with and be responsible for all gate gourmet and customer security procedures and process.
- To adhere to all health safety and hygiene requirements, including using the correct kinetic lifting and carrying techniques.
- Drive a van as and when required / directed.
- Carry out daily checks of the vehicle and report any defects using appropriate forms.
- Fully comply with and to be responsible for all Gate Gourmet and customer security procedures and property.
- To report all accidents and take the necessary preventative action.
- To be able to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally at all levels.
- To ensure that relevant entries are made in the diary log and that the log is checked at the beginning of each shift.
- To be totally flexible within the role.
- Carry out quality checks with improvement action when required.
- Assist in follow-up of Quality Assurance/Health & Safety reports.
- To take on any other duties as and when required.
Education
- GCSE passes in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Work Experience
- Must hold a current and clean UK driving license.
- Good standard of English both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Skills & Knowledge
- Good understanding of English both reading and writing.
- Positive attitude to work.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential.
- You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn.
- In addition to job-related training, you will develop your skills in teamwork, time management, multi-tasking, communication, and attention to detail.
